Aap Chronology samajhiye! All about JNU Violence
On Sunday night ample of masked goons armed with sticks and stones entered JNU campus vandalizing the property, brutally beating the students and staffs. The JNUSU claims that these goons were ABVP karyakartas with right wing ideology. While certain section of media is objectifying it as clash between right and left wing.
The spark began on the November month when JNU administration announced the hostel fee hike. The new fees will nearly double the annual fee for JNU students living in hostels from the current ₹27,000 to ₹61,000. JNU was one of the cheapest central universities in country but if the this prospectus comes into play then it will become the most expensive central university. One of the astonishing fact is around 40% of students are of BPL category and the scholarships are also not opportunistic. This led the students to sit on strike and when VC didn't hear the appeal the students started protesting outside the campus. Despite the fact that protests were carried out peacefully, Delhi police throbbed the students with tear gas and water cannons.
The counter part was Jamia police attacks. In several universities like Jamia Millia Islamia, Aligarh Muslim Univ, & JNU thorough protests and strikes were happening. During this some violent goons joined the protest and vandalized the public property. This attracted the concern of govt. and saw it as threat to the upcoming elections so the police were ordered to react in a harsh way which led to the firing in the Jamia library consequently created a panic among protesters and police.
The recent attacks on JNU students were allegedly done by ABVP. Victims say that it was pre-planned attack with perfectly executed. With complete secrecy the message of this plan was spread on whatsapp to particular right wing violent goons specially ABVP. The plan was disclosed when it was brutally implemented.
Second, this manhunt was supported by some powerful in govt. or else it couldn't take place. Reports say that there were no cops or security present and street lights were turned off when these masked men entered in campus. Similar case happened when Delhi police allegedly lathi-charged students protesting for fee hike.
Third, those men were not in rush, they perfectly knew whom to attack, when to attack, which hostel room should they enter, where is the president, etc. It was marvellously structured and the goons had every detail about the campus and students.
Fourth, they wanted to maximize the damage which they did by beating people ferociously and damaging the property. Even these men blocked the pathways where ambulance was arriving also attacked the ambulance by puncturing the tyres, breaking glass and windows. A team of doctors, nurses and medical volunteers were also attacked.
Fifth, the attack was inhumane. According to Washington Post, Surya Prakash, a 25-year old Ph.D. student at the university's Sanskrit school, said he was brutally beaten in his dorm room despite crying out that he was blind.
Sixth, the partiality of police. Police was barbaric in the case of Jamia and Aligarh, visuals show that they entered in the campus without VC nod and throbbed the students who were violent. But on the side, that is JNU, police surrounded the area, blockage for media and other activists to enter in campus. It was like police were giving cover to the goons. Yogendra Yadav was inhumanly manhandled to stop him from entering the campus. It was complete failure of delhi police.
Till Today there has been not a single arrest despite of the evidences which are being spread in social media.
The protest on this issue has been widespread, several celebrities like Anurag Kashyap, Tapsee Pannu, Rahul Bose joined in Mumbai and Deepika Padukon with Aishe Ghosh in Delhi. Now the bhakts took an expected step to boycott the upcoming film of Deepika which is 'Chhapaak'. Students and activists from every corner of the country have joined the protest. Cities like Mumbai(which is mostly apolitical), Bhopal, Bengluru have also took a step. It has become a movement today and still the protest are on. Recently the trade union have also called strike.
Another question arises on the credibility of Election Commission. Past this lok sabha election several alarming issues were raised on ECI. In fact Manoj Tiwari was soptted in an interview of News TV 18, he pointed in indirect way that the delhi elections will be taking place in the month Feb. He knew about Delhi Assembly poll date even before EC made an announcement. Such close and sudden announcement can change the tides of this election, let us see who benefits from whom!
The Chronology

What more important here is the chronology of the events. The fee hike protest followed by CAA & NRC protest and Jamia Police attacks then Amit Shah saying 'Tukde-Tukde gang should be taught a lesson' and now the JNU mob attack. All this has happened in Delhi and now suddenly Election Commission announces the Delhi election date.

CAA-NRC
When people started making arguments the Government diverted the attention of people by introducing CAA and NRC. According to the CAA, Hindu, Christian, Buddhist, Jain, Sikh and Parsi migrants who have entered India before December 31, 2014, that is illegally from the neighboring countries of Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh will be eligible to apply for Indian Citizenship if they have stayed here for more than 5 years. The clinch here is that there is no mention of Muslims in the bill. Shortly after this, the idea of implementing the nationwide NRC was hitting the news headlines. Although there is no proper statement on NRC but chattering says that people of India need to show the necessary documents to prove that they or their ancestors have been staying in India before the first census 1951. *The problem is when both CAA and NRC will come into effect it will discard the Muslims from India. Here's how! If the Hindus can't prove that they have been staying here (India) they will automatically get citizenship from CAA but the muslims cannot. When people understood this they went on strike and it was one of the biggest protest in India. *Jamia & AMU attacks
